According to the document Notice of Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission on agreeing to build the first batch of provincial engineering centers in 2017 (Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission High-tech Office [2017] No. 974), Jiangsu New Energy Vehicle Powertrain Engineering Center applied by Suzhou INOVANCE was selected in the 2017 first batch of provincial engineering centers. Among five enterprises of Suzhou city selected, Suzhou INOVANCE is the only one selected in Wuzhong district. 

The engineering center, covering an area of 10,000 square meters, includes the comprehensive performance laboratory, reliability laboratory, and EMC laboratory for R&D of new energy vehicle motor, reduction gear, inverter, onboard charger. It aims to make breakthrough in key technologies of the vehicle powertrain system of high speed, reliability, efficiency, and power and light weight, improve the industrial innovation capability, and promote area economic development.

INOVANCE acquired the ISO26262 Functional Safety Management System Certificate issued by Greater China, TÜV Rheinland in 2017, being the first ISO26262-certificated electric vehicle inverter component supplier in China. 

With advantages in new energy vehicle technologies, INOVANCE will lay a good foundation for construction of the New Energy Vehicle Powertrain Engineering Center and industrialization of the new energy vehicle inverter. INOVANCE expects to create a model of high-tech industry base in future based on this center.
